At Teachers’ Treasures, our mission is made possible through the support of dedicated community partners who believe in investing in local students and educators. One of those valued partners is TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/TWO MEN AND A JUNK TRUCK®, a company that has consistently stepped up to make a difference through volunteerism, logistics support, and community engagement.

Jennifer Sterrett, who has been with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® for eight years, first learned about Teachers’ Treasures when she joined the company. For her, supporting Teachers’ Treasures is a natural extension of the company’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.

“One of the things that helps make a successful business is being an active part of the community,” Jennifer explained. “We have a commitment to giving back, and that aligns perfectly with the work Teachers’ Treasures does by providing educators with the resources they need to create better learning environments.”

Because the company frequently works with families, they understand firsthand the impact teachers have on the community.

“As a company, we move families every day, and many of those families include teachers, students, and school staff,” Jennifer said. “Supporting Teachers’ Treasures allows us to invest in the future of our community by helping educators stretch limited classroom budgets and ensure students have access to essential supplies.”

Over the years, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has supported Teachers’ Treasures in a variety of ways, primarily by leveraging its expertise in moving and logistics.

“Whether it’s delivering donated supplies, transporting materials for events, helping with large donation pickups, or providing manpower when extra hands are needed, our team is always eager to help.” Jennifer said.

Their involvement extends beyond transportation. Team members have volunteered their time, helped raise awareness of Teachers’ Treasures throughout the community, and encouraged customers, business partners, and employees to get involved. They have also played an important role in events such as the Donut Dash, The Gr8 Paper Push, and furniture giveaways.

“It’s more than just providing trucks,” Jennifer said. “It’s about being a reliable partner whenever support is needed.”

Jennifer believes that every business—regardless of industry—has something valuable to contribute to organizations like Teachers’ Treasures.

“Every business benefits from strong communities, and strong communities start with well-supported students and educators,” she said. “You don’t have to be a school, teacher, or company in the education industry to make an impact.”

She points out that businesses often possess resources nonprofits need, whether it’s volunteer hours, professional expertise, transportation, marketing support, sponsorships, donations, or simply helping spread awareness.

“If everyone contributes in their own way, it creates a ripple effect that benefits students, teachers, families, and ultimately the future workforce,” Jennifer said.

One of the things Jennifer appreciates most about Teachers’ Treasures is the variety of ways organizations and individuals can get involved.

“You don’t have to write a large check to make an impact,” she said. “Sometimes donating time, services, equipment, or simply encouraging employees to get involved can make a huge difference.”

As a company known as the Movers Who Care®, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is proud of its partnership with Teachers’ Treasures and the opportunity to support local educators.

“Our partnership with Teachers’ Treasures is a perfect example of how businesses can use their strengths to make a lasting impact,” Jennifer said. “When we support our teachers, we are supporting the future of our community.”
